Monday - May 9
On Monday the participants returned to their homebases after a busy period at the Balikesir NATO Tiger Meet. On Sunday evening tension among them was high, since it was the time to award the several trophies of which the Silver Tiger is the most important. This year the SILVER TIGER went to 230 Sqn that came all the way from Aldergrove (N-Ireland) with their Puma Helicopters. 31 Sqn, always on a close call to win the Silver TIger was awarded with the BEST FLYING trophy. The 231 Squadron coveted 2 awards, one for the BEST PAINTED AIRCRAFT (Hind) and the TIGER GAMES. BEST FLIGHTSUIT award went to the Tigers from 192 FILO, and some were in the pictures below you will be able to find out why. The trophy for the best SKIT (a short theatrical play brought by each detachment during one of the NTM-evenings) was awarded to the crew of 1/12 Sqn 'Cambresis'.
Wednesday - May 4
In flight refuelling is a fairly new addition to the NATO Tiger Meet, last year the Tigers from 141ARS took on this task, this year the Turkish Air Force supplied a tanker force in order to support COMAO missions. (Pictures: AG-51)

Saturday - April 30
Visitors Day at Balikesir 9 Main Jet base, Turkey. A lot of aviation enthusiasts, family members and VIP's visited the base on this day. Levent Basara has send us these pictures which represent the typical Tiger atmosphere of the event. (All pictures: Levent Basara)
Friday - April 29
Above and below: The 31 Tiger Squadron left Kleine Brogel Airbase on the Friday morning, heading to Balikesir, Turkey, for the 2005 NATO Tiger Meet. Above you can have a look at this years 'flagship' during a photoflight earlier this week. Below the Belgian F-16 formation during a join-up with a French KC-135 on their way to Turkey.
