Operation Academy

An almost-mini-meet occurred on Thursday, December 3rd, 2009, on the occasion of E.C 01.012 “Cambresis” inaugurating partnership with the French Air Force Academy class of 2009.
Along with 5 Mirages 2000C from Cambrai,
2 F-16 MLU from sister Squadron 31 (Belgian Air Force, Kleine-Brogel),

'Cambresis' wins Silver Tiger Trophy

2x M2000C in a fromation Take-off

The 1/12 squadron from BA 103 Cambrai in France are the winners of the NATO Tiger Meet 2009 Silver tiger trophy.
In a close race with Aüfklarungsgeschwader 51 'Immelmann', who ended 2nd with an equal amount off points,
but the French who scored better in the flying discipline where awarded the by all desired trophy.

New Probationary member for NTA

59/1 Puma squadron enters its first year as probationary member of the NATO Tiger Association
During today's 'Detachment Commanders' (DetCo's) meeting at NATO Tiger Meet 2009 the 59/1 Puma squadron was voted 'Probationary Member' of the Association.

Swiss Tiger leaves Patrouille Suisse

After more than 10 years, Capt. Daniel Siegenthaler callsign “Sigi” leaves the Patrouille Suisse.
Tiger UNO, Capt. Daniel Siegenthaler callsign “Sigi”, the Patrouille Suisse team leader flew his last flight with the patrouille outside of Switzerland during the Sanicole Airshow last Sunday.

NATO Tiger Meet 2009 is declared open!

During the NTM 2009 opening ceremony, Maj. name removed declared the NATO Tiger Meet opened.
Today most of the participants arrived at Kleine Brogel Airbase. After they checked in all were briefed in 3 large briefings about the operational and safety aspects of the NATO Tiger Meet.

AG51 celebrates 50 years Recce

The German AF 51st Reconnaissance Wing (AG51 "I") celebrates it's 50th anniversary on Saturday 11 July 2009, however this anniversary will have a bitter after-taste, with the upcoming disbandment of the 2nd staffel.

New Vipers for 335 Mira

335 Mira, Tigers based at Araxos, Greece, are currently changing their A-7E aircraft for F-16 Block 52+ aircraft.
The first four F-16 Block 52+ from the Peace Xenia IV program have arrived at Araxos AB, Greece in May 2009.
Conversion of the squadron in order to receive their new jet already started in 2008.

59/1 Squadron confirms participation

The Hungarian Air Force confirmed participation of 59/1 Puma Squadron for NTM 2009
It is the first time the Hungarian Air Force sends 3 Gripen aircraft to a NATO Tiger Meet.

NTM Main Planning Conference (MPC)
